The Razor's Edge (1946): Gene Tierney

Directed by Edmund Goulding, based on the novel by W. Somerset Maugham, The Razor's Edge (1946) is an enduring mix of melodrama and romance. The story concerns a recently-returned World War I soldier, disturbed by violence and fighting, who leaves his fiance behind to travel the world in search of life's true meaning. The radiant Gene Tierney, one of the most beautiful women ever to grace the silver screen, is the true star of the film. The rest of the cast is great as well, including Tyrone Power and Anne Baxter.
