Justice League (2017): DC Comics. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman Battle Ancient Steppenwolf

Justice League. 2017. DC Comics. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman Battle Steppenwolf

Directed by Zack Snyder, based on the DC Comics characters, Justice League (2017) picks up where Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) left off. With a production cost of $300 Million, Justice League is one of the most expensive films ever made. The story finds Batman, inspired by the selfless death of Superman, enlisting the help of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg to battle the ancient Steppenwolf. The plot has nice mythological elements with Ancient Greek Gods and the fabled Lost City of Atlantis thrown in. The special effects are amazing and the cast does a great job, including Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.

Wonder Woman (2017): DC Comics. Gal Gadot as an Amazonian Warrior in WWII

Wonder Woman. 2017. DC Comics. Gal Gadot

Directed by Patty Jenkins, based on the character created in 1941 by William Moulton Marston, Wonder Woman (2017) is by far the best Superhero movie released in recent years. The story centers on Princess Diana, who grew up on the Amazon island Themyscira and is compelled to aid humanity and battle the god Ares in the ongoing World War after a pilot crash lands offshore of her island. It is an overall interesting combination of Ancient Greek Mythology and WWII stylized history. Superb writing and dazzling special effects make for an entertaining journey from start to finish. Gal Gadot is both beautiful and strong in the title role. The supporting cast is great as well, including Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen and Elena Anaya.
