Directed by F. Gary Gray, The Italian Job (2003) is a remake of the Classic 1969 British heist film. After a successful $35 million gold heist in Venice, a gang of expert thieves is bitterly betrayed by one of their own… and revenge comes at high stakes and with great complications as they plan to steal the gold back. Fast paced action, car chases and well-written dialogue drive the story steadily along. Mark Wahlberg is great as the mastermind. Charlize Theron is sexy as the safe cracker. Edward Norton is cool as the villain. The supporting cast is good as well, including Jason Statham, Seth Green, Mos Def and Donald Sutherland.
