Armour of God (1986): Jackie Chan, Medieval Weaponry and Looting

Written, directed by and starring Jackie Chan, Armour of God (1986) was released in the United States as Operation Condor 2, which is confusing because it was made five years before Operation Condor. Chronology aside, the story focuses on an illicit treasure hunter who must steal and/or arrange the fabled Armour of God medieval weaponry (allegedly used during the Crusades) for a crazy religious cult that has kidnapped his friend's fiancé. The fight scenes are fast-paced and intense. Chan nearly died while performing a stunt in which he dove into a tree… the limb snapped and he plummeted to the ground and cracked his skull. Jackie Chan is great as the karate-kicking looter. The rest of the cast is good as well, including Alan Tam, Lola Forner and Rosamund Kwan.
