The 300 Spartans (1962): Epic Battle in Ancient Greece

Directed by Rudolph Mate, and written by Ugo Liberatore, The 300 Spartans (1962) is a story of impossible odds and bravery… as a limited army of Greeks spearheaded by 300 Spartans takes on and does battle with the entire invading force of the Persian army in the 5th Century B.C. Great costumes and decent (second-tier) acting hold the film together nicely as the action plays out in epic form, all leading to an inevitable conclusion. The cast does a great job, including Richard Egan, Ralph Richardson and Diane Baker.
