Travis Simpkins: I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997): Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar

Panned by critics upon it's release, I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) has grown to be somewhat of a modern Classic in cheesy horror. Written by Kevin Williamson, the successful creator of Scream (1996), I Know What you Did Last Summer met with similar acclaim amongst the younger, MTV crowd. So many aspects of the film have been copied and parodied, that it's influence on Pop-culture is undeniable. Much of the draw is due to the two female stars: Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar. The whole cast is decent, but Jennifer Love Hewitt, in particular, actually does a really good and convincing acting job. Followed by two sequels, and still inspiring imitators, I Know What You Did Last Summer will surely be around for a while.
