Portraits of all of the Sovereign Grand Commanders of the Scottish Rite, NMJ from 1813 - Present.
I made these portraits at various times over the past 4 years. I’m proud to have seen the series through to completion and I’m happy that they will all be staying together in one place for posterity. All of them are now part of the collection of the Supreme Council, 33°, NMJ at the Scottish Rite Museum & Library in Lexington, Massachusetts.
It took a long time to assemble all the historical information I was looking for, reading through every volume of published history of the NMJ that I could find in my spare time. Special thanks to the several Grand Masters and Grand Secretaries that helped with my requests for additional information, specific dates of events, etc.
