Created by Meredith Averill, based on the graphic novels by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, Locke and Key became an instant hit on Netflix with the release of the first season. It was immediately announced that a second season would be forthcoming. Even before airing the second season, news came that the show will be renewed for a third season.

The basic plot is summarized: After Rendell Locke is murdered at the hands of former student Sam Lesser, his wife Nina decides to move with her three children, Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode, from Seattle to Matheson, Massachusetts, and take residence in Rendell's family home, Key House. The children soon discover a number of mysterious keys throughout the house that can be used to unlock various doors in magical ways. They soon become aware, though, of a demonic entity that is also searching for the keys for its own malevolent purposes.

The whole cast does a great job, including Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Connor Jessup, Laysla De Oliveira and Darby Stanchfield.
