     Today, I am assigned to sketch a work on display in the Gothic Room at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. A century ago, John Singer Sargent used this very room as his studio when he painted his well-known portrait of "Mrs. Fiske Warren & Her Daughter" (in the collection of the MFA). It is one of my favorite gallery spaces in the museum…
