I stopped to visit the Westford Knight on my way home today. The historical society did a great job of placing the new memorial pieces and protecting the carved effigy.

Ancient Megalithic Structures at America's Stonehenge. Salem, New Hampshire

I drove up to America's Stonehenge this morning. It was a beautiful day to walk around the ancient megalithic structures in the New Hampshire woods. The origin and purpose of the site remains a mystery. Various theories credit the ancient Phoenicians, medieval Irish Monks and various Native tribes with positioning the massive stones to suit astronomical alignments. I was happy to see that David S. Brody has a whole shelf dedicated to his books in the gift shop.
