Delaware Scottish Rite. SGC David Glattly Presents Art by Travis Simpkins at Valley Reunion

Delaware Scottish Rite. Sovereign Grand Commander David Glattly and Art by Travis Simpkins

On April 7th, my portrait of Eugene Small, 33° was presented to him by Sovereign Grand Commander David A. Glattly and the Deputy for Delaware Herbert J. Atkinson. The presentation took place during the spring reunion of the Delaware Scottish Rite, an event which was dedicated in honor of Ill. Bro. Small. In addition to the original artwork, the portrait image was included on special ribbons given to all attendees (Deputy Herb Atkinson is wearing one of the ribbons on his lapel in the photo). For posterity, a copy of the portrait will be placed on permanent display at the Masonic building in Wilmington, Delaware. Special thanks to Fred Palmer for all his work on this project.

Moises Gomez. Grand Lodge of New Jersey. The Masonic Society. Portrait by Travis Simpkins

Congratulations to R.W. Moises Gomez, Grand Historian of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey, on being named a Fellow of The Masonic Society. It is a well-deserved honor.
I was flipping through the latest issue of the Journal of the Masonic Society and was surprised to see my portrait of R.W. Bro. Gomez on page 9.
