Seal of The Grand Lodge of New Jersey

     One of the fun challenges in creating portraits for different Grand Lodges is that each state tends to have it's own unique regalia. When I was first hired to create artwork for the Grand Lodge of New Jersey, I knew I'd need to incorporate the GL seal into some of the portraits (Grand officer collars have the seal above the jewel). So, I bought this old coin for $3 on eBay to look at as a convenient reference. I have since included it in five works of art for the GL of NJ. I'm sure the seller had no idea what purpose it would serve, but I have certainly made helpful use of it.
