Directed by Matthew Vaughn, based on the story by Neil Gaiman, Stardust (2007) is inventive, entertaining and underrated. The story concerns a young man in a town bordering on a magical land, who vows to venture off and retrieve a fallen star for his beloved. Full of interesting characters and magical effects, the film is dazzling to the senses. The cast does a great job, including Claire Danes as the Fallen Star Yvaine, Michelle Pfeiffer as the Dark Queen of the Witches, Robert De Niro, Sienna Miller, Charlie Cox, Mark Strong, Rupert Everett and Peter O'Toole.
