"An Illustrated Guide to The Lost Symbol" Edited by John Weber

An Illustrated Guide to The Lost Symbol
Edited by John Weber
Pocket Books, 2009
Brief Review by Travis Simpkins

Full of color images and intriguing essays, An Illustrated Guide to The Lost Symbol by John Weber is one of the best of the several unauthorized companion books that followed the release of Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. The text offers a unique overview of the topics in Brown's book, with sections devoted to key buildings and monuments that feature in the storyline: The House of the Temple, The Capitol, The Library of Congress, The Smithsonian Museum Support Center, The George Washington Masonic Memorial, Kryptos and the Washington Monument. Essays by contemporary writers mix well with the classic Masonic writings of Manly P. Hall and W.L. Wilmshurst. As a bonus, with the abundance of visual aides, the book also serves as a handy guide for travelers in Washington, D.C. looking to seek out sites related to Freemasonry in our nation's capitol… well worth the cover price.
