Travis Simpkins Joins the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum as "Milestone Artist"

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Sketches by Travis Simpkins

I'm happy to be starting a new project this month. I have been hired by the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum to serve as their "Milestone Artist" for an ongoing HR program. I will be creating artwork inspired by the museum's collection, which the ISGM will present as gifts to noteworthy recipients. It is a prestigious gig and a wonderful opportunity for me as an artist. I am honored that the Gardner Museum recognizes the value in my work and talents. With my love of history and aesthetics, I'm excited to work with the ISGM, and to draw objects contained in one of the most beautiful museums in the world. It's a proud achievement, and I look forward to a new and productive association in Boston.

I will post photos of the completed ISGM drawings after the first series is presented in mid-August.
