Directed by Christopher Smith, Black Death (2010) chronicles death, fear and superstition in plague-ridden medieval England. The story concerns a group of warriors, facing the onslaught of the black plague, who travel to a remote village in search of a necromancer… said to bring the dead back to life. Dark and dramatic, the film is graphic in violence and mood. The cast does a good job, including Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne and Carice van Houten.
