Heredom. Volume 25. Essay by Arturo de Hoyos features Joseph Cerneau portrait by Travis Simpkins

Heredom. Scottish Rite, SJ. Arturo de Hoyos. S Brent Morris. Joseph Cerneau. Artwork by Travis Simpkins

I am proud to have my artwork published in the latest volume of Heredom (Vol. 25, 2017). My portrait of Joseph Cerneau is included in a new article by Arturo de Hoyos, titled "The Supreme Council of the 43rd Degree." It was a pleasure working with editor S. Brent Morris on this project. Up until now, the only image of Cerneau was a blurry half-tone photo of an ivory miniature portrait of him, now long lost. I was asked to create a new portrait of Cerneau based on the very limited available information. The image appears on page 61.
"Heredom" is the annual publication of the Scottish Rite Research Society, based at the House of the Temple in Washington, D.C.
