Travis Simpkins Visits Aztlan Lodge No. 1 in Prescott, Arizona. The Oldest Masonic Lodge in Arizona

Theodore Gambogi, Travis Simpkins and Ken Davis. Aztlan Lodge No. 1. Prescott, Arizona

One of the highlights for me during this past week was visiting Aztlan Lodge No. 1, the oldest Masonic Lodge in Arizona. The Lodge has also long shared a space with the oldest Eastern Star Chapter in Arizona, Golden Rule Chapter No. 1. Constituted in 1866, Aztlan Lodge originally met in log cabins before constructing the beautiful 1907 Masonic building that still stands in downtown Prescott. When that building proved burdensome for the membership, the Lodge constructed a brand new facility in 1980. Much to their praise, they made the noble effort of re-creating an exact replica of the 1907 Lodge room. The result is spectacular. Despite being in a new building, you still have the feeling of stepping back in time over 100 years when entering. Thanks again to Ken Davis for the invite and tour.
