Unveiling of Symbolic Paintings. by Travis Simpkins. M.W. Richard Maggio. Grand Lodge of Massachusetts |
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure to attend the unveiling of 4 panels I painted for Joel H. Prouty Lodge in Auburn, Massachusetts. The 4 paintings depict the Master Mason emblems for use in the degree lecture and are displayed along the south wall of the Lodge room.
Thanks to M.W. Richard Maggio, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, for making the trip out for the event (the photo is of Worshipful Master Kevin O’Donnell, M.W. Richard Maggio and I). Special thanks to R.W. Robert Schremser for giving that portion of the lecture while the paintings were being unveiled to demonstrate how they will be utilized in the conferral of the Master Mason degree.
I had previously made a portrait of the Lodge’s namesake, Joel H. Prouty, which hangs in the foyer outside the Lodge room. And more paintings (for the other two degrees) are proposed for the north wall of the Lodge room. They have a growing collection.
