     Thanks to R.W. Moises Gomez for visiting my Grand Master oil portrait of M.W. Roger B. Quintana at the Grand Lodge of New Jersey.
     I'm currently working on a 2nd version of this painting to be displayed elsewhere in NJ. That will be my third portrait of M.W. Quintana. Between drawing and painting, I've had one portrait or another of him on my drafting table and easel for most of this year. When my wife met Roger for the first time in New Jersey, she commented that she felt like she already knew him because she saw his face every day in my studio.

Their lodge is celebrating it's 150th Anniversary this year and they are very active in supporting Masonic education.      I had a wonderful time yesterday with M.W. Dieter B. Hees and the officers of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey. Both the tour of the United States Coast Guard base and the Memorial dedication afterwards were memorable experiences. Prints of a sketch I made for the occasion were given to all in attendance. I'm very proud to have been invited to take part in today's events. Special thanks to R.W. Moises Gomez for all of his work in coordinating the schedule.
