Directed by Olivier Megaton, Taken 2 (2012) sought to capitalize on the success of the original 2008 Taken feature. Originally intended as a sequel, Taken 2 will now be the second part of a "Taken Trilogy" (so far), with Taken 3 set to be released in 2015. This film picks up shortly after the last one left off, with the father of one of the Albanian criminals that was killed by Brian Mills (Liam Neeson) in Paris, seeking revenge on the former CIA operative and his family while they vacation in Istanbul. The scenery and Mediterranean skylines are beautiful. The fight action and chase scenes keep a frenetic pace. Liam Neeson is still superb in the main role. Rade Serbedzija is great as the villain father. Maggie Grace is good in her role. Famke Janssen costars as the wife/mother.
